This year was a truly historic event in the history of the Log Cabin and the Saanich Pioneer Society. After much preparation on the part of our volunteers, especially Bea Johnson, the necessary protocol was put in place to officially recognize the Log Cabin Museum as an official heritage building within the Central Saanich Municipality.

On hand to make the presentation to our President, Karen Hoshel, was His Worship Mayor Jack Mar. Assisting the muncipality in the prepartions was Bonnie McKenzie, Manager of Community Services.
